What’s up with the weird images?
Most of the thumbnails used for blog posts are AI generated. While someone could think this makes things easier for the author, well that’s not necessarily the case. A single thumbnail can take up to 20 runs, trying various phrasings for the AI prompt to get a result that fits the theme and post topic, at least in an abstract way. The process of coming up with a rough idea or concept of what the image could look like until the final piece of art can take several hours to say the least.
